Students taking repeats
A reminder to full time students repeating subjects from last year:
Any student who received a repeat CA or Repeat Module should register for that subject for this semester and take the subject with this years day students (where possible) or this years evening students if the subject is not offered in the day. You can get the latest timetables by logging into webtimtables.dit.ie. I have PDF versions of the latest timetables available here:
A reminder to international students: You are required to have 80% attendance for all classes, otherwise your visa's can be revoked without warning! I have advised all lectures to notify me of any non attending students

Welcome!
New Students: The MSc in Computing (Information Technology) course will commence on Monday 22nd September. Each stream will have an introductory session where you will have a chance to meet your fellow colleagues, lecturing staff and to get more details on the course.
All students on the full-time (DT230) stream should attend an introductory meeting at 12pm on Monday 22th September in the boardroom in Kevin St (1st floor).
All students on the part-time (DT210) stream should attend their introductory session at 6.30p.m. on Monday 22nd September in the boardroom in Kevin St (1st floor).
Class times for part time students in year 1 are Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6.30 to 9.30pm, and every fourth Saturday daytime.
By now, each of you will have received a letter from Registrations advising on how/when to register for the course. When you register, you will get access to the new DIT timetabling system where you can retrieve your timetable. Any questions relating to course content, registrations, schedules etc can be addressed at the introductory session.
Continuing students: There will be a welcome session @ 7:30pm in room A28 on Monday 22nd September where lecturers will present an introduction to the option subjects available to you this year.

Registrations
Every new part-time student who has not previously attended DIT should bring the following to Registration:
Passport (with Study Visa if applicable) or Original Birth Certificate.
Please note that International students on Stamp 2 (wholetime study) or Stamp 3 (visitor/ spouse) visa will not be allowed to register for the programme, even if they are offered a place. Stamp 1 (work permit) or Stamp 4 (resident/refugee) visa holders may apply. Assessment of visa status will occur at registration time.
International Students must bring their passport and visa at the commencement of each academic year to ensure that all documentation is valid and in date.
